Cakes here are made in different colors and cute cartoon image, like sweet lollipops. Local yellow rice cake, however, is gooey and nutty.

Miriam from Sweden have a trip at Muslim Street with her adorable baby. She says:"If you are thinking about what to eat in Xi'an, Huimin Jie will have most of the food you might want to try - all kinds of noodles, snacks, drinks, bread, wraps... And all at the same place! This is one of the most popular tourist destinations.  It is definitely worth visiting if you are traveling to Xi'an.

After tasting several kinds of foods at Muslim Street, Amy highly recommended agar-agar jelly. It's kind of rice noodle with jelly consistency. With so many foods, Muslim Street may be a bit overwhelming for first-time visitors. Luckily, Amy gives some must-try dishes, including Fried rice noodle, Biangbiang noodle, and roujiamo.

03Nico from England

Nico speaks highly of dumplings in sour soup. When the dish is served, she says that it smells good, and when she eats, she exclaims "wow, really really tasty dumplings in this sweet sour and tiny soup". After finishing, she cannot help but add "that tastes really good". What a wonderful thing it is to have a bowl of dumplings in such cold weather!

As the important start of the Silk Road, Xi'an has more multicultural flavor than any other city. And nowhere is this reflected better than in the Muslim Street, which is filled with things to eat and souvenirs to buy. Despite the first impression that it is a bit risky, it turned out to be a lot of fun!

04Claire from the U.S.

Nano ice cream, famous for  its magic effect of rising smoke has been extremely popular that foreigners cannot resist it. After eating the ice cream, Claire's mouth and nose belch smoke. That's quite funny, and her partner Justin keeps laughing at her.

Lamb Kebab

After sweet ice cream, it's nice to have some flavory lamb kebabs.

It may seem a bit frightening, but it is chewy and spicy. Very nice!

Just when you thought you've got to the end, there is more! Tada~

Claire and her partner exclaimed "It's so PRETTY". Indeed, I guess nobody can say "no" to such a big and beautiful candyfloss.

The Muslim Quarter in Xi'an, China took us by surprise with its wild food and impressive selection. The extensive array of snacks, meals, local desserts as well as touristy shopping left our heads spinning and stomachs full. I normally feel uncomfortable in large crowds, but the hustle and bustle of the Eat Street was truly thrilling. I highly recommend pushing outside of your comfort zone to experience the wide variety of flavors there.

However, that's only small part of various foods in Xi'an Muslim Street. There are more hidden snacks waiting for you to explore!
