On May 31, the RCEP Enterprise Service Center of Shaanxi Pilot Free Trade Zone was unveiled in Airport New City of Xixian New Area, marking the official opening of the first provincial RCEP enterprise service center in Northwest China. The center will give full play to the superimposed advantages of the pilot free trade zone and RCEP, actively build a high-level open platform, and promote the high-quality development of the pilot free trade zone.

RCEP, which stands for Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, is the most important free trade agreement in the Asia-Pacific region. It was jointly formulated by China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, marking the world's most populous and promising free trade area, which also has the largest economic and trade scale. RCEP officially entered into force on January 1, 2022 and RCEP member countries are Shaanxi's largest trading partners, also the major overseas markets and sources of foreign investment. The establishment of the RCEP Enterprise Service Center of Shaanxi Pilot Free Trade Zone is a specific measure for Shaanxi to actively adhere to RCEP standard economic and trade rules.

The center has set up 10 service windows to provide enterprises with policy interpretation, professional training, information guidance and other services.

The RCEP enterprise service platform system can help with the difficulties confronted by enterprises in the aspects of the optimal tax rate, determination of origin, and certificate application, further supporting the development of enterprises.

As the center was launched, the RCEP International Talent Service Center and Language Service Center of Shaanxi Pilot Free Trade Zone were also unveiled. The talent service center will provide international talents and foreign-related institutions with international services associated with foreign-related starting-up businesses, entry and exit policies for foreigners, and policy consultation.

Xixian New Area boasts the first-class customs port in China, which includes five designated supervision sites for imported medicines, edible aquatic animals, fruits, meat and plant seedlings. It also accounts for 70% of Shaanxi's import and export value of air transportation.
