The Renaissance of Images: Research Exhibition of Fine Rubbings of Historical Metal and Stele

This exhibition showcases a selection of fine rubbings of ancient inscriptions from the collection of the Shaanxi Province Art Museum. The exhibition features nearly 200 fine rubbings presented via images, including rubbings of bronze artifacts from the Zhou Dynasty, portraits on stone from the Han Dynasty, stone steles with carved figures, and reliefs from cave temples. In addition, there is a wide variety of seal patterns featuring fine rubbings for visitors to experience.
18th-20th Century European Antique Oil Paintings and Sculptures Exhibition

This exhibition showcases more than a hundred European antique artistic artifacts from the 18th to 20th centuries, all from the museum's collection. Featured items include the century-old Louis Vuitton antique suitcase, Carrara marble sculptures, original Scottish oil paintings, as well as German antique music cabinet, Bechstein antique piano, and Meissen porcelain, all of which represent the highest level of European antique artistry and are rare to find.

The exhibition unveils the mysteries of oil painting restoration and disseminates knowledge on the conservation of oil paintings. It showcases the common damages to oil paintings, the complete process of oil painting restoration, and the intersection of technology and artistic research in oil painting. In addition, the museum sets up a specific area for visitors to take pictures —— the reproduction of an oil painting restoration laboratory.
Thematic Exhibition of Chinese Ancient Inkstone

The inkstone is one of the "four treasures of the study" in China. However, the earliest users of the inkstone were not literati who were proficient in writing but craftsmen who painted colored pottery. Archaeological evidence shows that in the Neolithic Age, people began to use finely ground stone inkstone and stone pestle to grind red or black pigments and then painted pottery with colorful patterns.
