To accommodate holiday travel demand around New Year's Day, Xi'an Metro will implement a special service plan. By adjusting schedules, adding trains, and deploying reserves, the metro aims to ensure smooth and efficient operations, offering passengers more comfortable and convenient travel during the holiday period.
Due to combined commuter and pre-holiday traffic, passenger flow is expected to remain high during the evening of December 31, 2025. Xi'an Metro will therefore encounter an extended peak-hour schedule from 13:00 to approximately 22:30.

To further meet holiday travel demand, Xi'an Metro will increase capacity on Lines 1, 2, 4, and 6 during January 1–3, 2026. During peak and evening hours, 15 additional trains will be deployed across the network, boosting peak-hour capacity by up to 26%, compared to a regular weekend.
During the holiday period, Xi'an Metro will closely monitor passenger flow and deploy additional trains as needed. Service schedules will be adjusted dynamically to manage sudden surges and ensure smooth travel. Passengers are advised to plan ahead, follow staff guidance, and enter and exit stations in an orderly manner.
