On June 9, the Shaanxi Comprehensive Service Platform for Inbound Visitors opened at Terminal 5 of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport. It features six major functional sections covering entry affairs, culture and tourism, transportation connections, finance & communications and general services. The platform also provides all-round services such as policy consultation, travel booking, currency exchange and multilingual assistance. It also taps into transit visa exemption policies to launch featured tourism routes and preferential offers.
It delivers multilingual online services via Ctrip and Trip.com to showcase Shaanxi's tourism resources globally. Drawing on over 55 billion yuan in annual tourism data, its smart digital system supports targeted policy formulation for the local cultural and tourism sector.As a key international aviation hub in northwest China, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport now operates 63 international and regional air routes, connecting 55 cities across 27 countries worldwide.
Led by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and co-built by multiple partners, the platform at T5 delivers integrated online-offline and cross-border services for arriving international visitors.
"The information here is clear and user-friendly, making us feel at home," said Russian INTOURIST Marketing and Operations Director Daria Domostroeva. She added that the platform effectively solves foreign travelers' key pain points regarding domestic communication, payment and transportation services in China.
