Press conference for achievements at the 28th China Yangling Agri High-Tech Fair

The five-day 28th China Yangling Agricultural High-tech Fair closed on October 26. At the press conference, Huang Siguang, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Yangling Demonstration Zone, announced the achievements of this fair.

There were total 4 indoor exhibition halls set up as well as 4 outdoor exhibition areas, with a total exhibition area of 200,000 square meters and 2,100 standard booths. 4 exhibition groups at the ministry level, 25 exhibition groups from other provinces and 28 exhibition groups from Shaanxi, as well as over 1,800 companies participated in the fair.

"Through 42 themed exhibitions, more than 9,000 domestic and foreign latest agricultural scientific and technological achievements and advanced applicable technologies were showcased. Contracts worth 90.644 billion yuan were signed, with 47.76 billion yuan from bank credit business, 21 million yuan from on-the-spot transactions, and 239 million yuan from online transactions." Huang Siguang introduced.

Representatives from 33 countries attended the conference online and offline. 2021 Yangling Modern Agriculture High-End Forum was broadcast live for the first time in Chinese, English and Russian, attracting more than 40,000 online viewers. 16 SCO representatives participated in the 2021 SCO Roundtable on Modern Agricultural Development via video," Huang Siguang said, "94 renowned scholars from 19 countries, spoke at the 2021 Yangling Int'l Forum on Agricultural Science and Technology. The SCO Modern Agricultural Exchange Center was officially put  into operation, the SCO Agricultural Base Economic, Trade and Investment Promotion Center as well as the SCO Agricultural  Overseas Practical Training Base was inaugurated."

At this year's agricultural fair, Qin Chuang Yuan Innovation-driven Platform  (Agriculture) was officially unveiled, releasing 32 "hardcore" support policies to promote the integration of agricultural science and technology, finance, industry, talent and other factors critical for innovation.

Other significant sub-fairs are held. The First Western China International Fruit Industry Expo was held. Four special exhibitions were held, including the Rural Toilet Reform Technology and Products Exhibition, the New Agricultural Machinery Exhibition, the Exhibition for Dry Farming Water-conserving Agriculture Demonstration Model and the Exhibition for Agricultural Products Production and Marketing in Northwest Poverty Alleviation Region.

This year's CAF featured a special rural revitalization exhibition area, with a series of exhibition activities been held, such as Shaanxi Rural Revitalization Achievements Exhibition, Yangling Agricultural Science Exhibition and Science and Technology in Rural Revitalization Exhibition.

The online cloud exhibition made the five-day CAF accessible all year around, said Huang Siguang.
