Xi'an Film Studio was established in August 1958 and is located on Xiying Road, north of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in Qujiang New Area. Among China's film production institutions, Xi'an Film Studio was the first to win the highest awards at international A-list film festivals, ranking the first in the country in the number of international awards won, it is also the film studio in China with the highest number of films exported.

With all the classic featured films and outstanding filmmakers evolving here, Xi'an Film Studio was once synonymous with Chinese film, it also launched the prime of "Xi'an Films" in the country.

 

In 2019, Xi'an Film Studio began to develop the brand Xi'an Film Zone, it also tore down the previous outer walls of the site, integrating the art of film into the daily life of the residents and giving people an immersive experience to further understand the production of the film.

Xi'an Film Studio Experience Center for Arts of Film

Today, while inheriting the excellent legacy of its predecessors, Xi'an Film Studio is actively adapting to the changes of the times, with Xi'an Film Studio Experience Center for Arts of Film a typical example. The center is embedded with 10,000 square meters of space and major characteristic exhibition halls, presenting a fashionable and diversified film world.

In 2020, 500 extremely valuable original classic movie posters from domestic and abroad were exhibited in Studio 3.

Red-brick buildings in industrial retro style can be seen everywhere in the entire area, which have been transformed into restaurants, bars and cafes.

                       

Born in 1958, the Xi'an Film Studio has witnessed the history of film productions in western China and is a microcosm of the film development of New China. Nowadays, the studio has carried forward its transformation with a refreshing angle, also becoming the ideal place for residents and tourists to experience the art of film in an immersive way.
