Located in the Beilin District, Shaanxi Sugar & Wine Grocery Company used to be the must-visit shopping spot of many Xi'an folks in the old times. Today, it is endowed with a new name: Chang'an Time · Tangjiuli Cultural and Creative Block.

This old building takes the history of the local area as design elements and combines them with the cultural background of the grocery company, integrating trendy elements into landscape design, architectural remodeling, and lighting. Now the block has become a featured commercial area that combines a wide range of businesses, such as culture, science and technology, art, workspace, catering, and tourism.

The building was originally established in 1980. At that time, this shopping spot mainly sold sugar, tobacco, alcohol, candy, canned food, beverages and other non-staple food. For many old Xi'an folks, the company reflected the abundant life of that era.

At the beginning of 2023, though the building had been abandoned for many years, major renovations took place upon it. Through a series of business planning and exquisite decoration, this transformed building is able to meet the diversified needs of office workers, local residents, and tourists.

Intangible cultural heritage center, motorbike stores, restaurants and coffee shops bring a refreshing breeze to the old street, and the old office building has become the convergence of various enterprises featuring culture and technology.

Within half a year after renovation, the occupancy rate of the office area in this block has already exceeded 50%. A number of local AI companies, Internet companies and other innovative startups found a foothold here, mainly attracted by the well-established facilities in the area. Inside and outside the office building, intangible cultural heritage exhibition halls, restaurants, motorbike stores, coffee shops, Hanfu stores and bars allure more and more local residents and young people to drop by.
