Bathed in the sunshine of the early winter, Xi'an Chanba National Wetland Park is full of vitality. The sight of the gathering of migratory birds is really stunning. Let's take a look!

Xi'an Chanba National Wetland Park is one of the three main migration routes for migratory birds in China, and therefore is home to a variety of wild waterfowl. With over 110 islands, nearly 200 types of vegetation, and natural water systems at the mouth of the Bahe River, the wetland park forms a natural habitat ecosystem suitable for the habitation of flora and fauna.

In the park, more than 130 species of birds have been observed, with the highest recorded count reaching over ten thousand individual birds. The cormorant has become the largest wintering bird species in this area, with a population of approximately 5,000, creating a unique landscape.

The well-preserved ecological environment of the park provides abundant food sources and habitats for migratory birds that overwinter or transit here. Even many migratory birds have become "residents" in the park, making it their home.

There is a group of photography enthusiasts in Xi'an, who are really good at capturing those vibrant poises of the birds.

In recent years, the ecological environment in Xi'an and its surrounding areas has been improving. Accordingly, the variety and quantity of birds have been increasing year by year, as well as people's awareness of bird species. This is the best proof of the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature.
