Recently, the inaugural large-scale international talent recruitment fair in Shaanxi took place at the QinChuangYuan Platform Talent Market. Bakr comes from Morocco. As he shared, the best way to adapt to a new environment is to meet new friends, which is also helpful for job hunting. Let's hear his story!

Tell us about yourself

My name is Bakr, I came from Morocco. Currently, I'm studying in Xi'an, specifically in NPU, majoring in computer science. I'm currently in my second year.

What's your specific target for this job fair？

I came here to the job affair just like to meet new people, and also to get introduced to the general living environment of Xi'an. I actually choose my target as meeting some amazing people out there. Also, I got to know how stuff work here in Xi'an.

How do you project yourself in 3 to 5 years?

So when it comes to how I see myself in 3 to 5 years, specifically in computer science major, I actually want to do a “mix”, which is a merge between computer science and linguistics, a field called computational linguistics.

Datang Lingyu (Shaanxi) Holdings Limited, a foreign-invested company, brought many job opportunities for international students at this job fair, aiming to expand the talent reserve for international business expansion in 2024. Wu Jiang, the person in charge of the operations department, shared their vision of "bringing in global talents" and "going global".

From a company’s standpoint, on the one hand, we need to bring in more excellent international students in Shaanxi as our talent base. At the same time, we also want to make our company known globally. Perhaps many international students coming today are not yet eligible to apply for work visa. We have thus inquired the relevant departments on site.

We, as potential employers, will also help the international students contact relevant departments, passing on their inquiries and expectations.
