Milan, renowned for its historical and cultural significance, fashion, and art, is one of Europe's four major economic centers and Italy's second-largest city. Xi'an not only boasts a rich history, but is also a vibrant and culturally rich modern city.

The launch of the route will make it easier to travel between these two unique cities. This is also China Eastern Airlines' third European route originating from Xi'an.

By the end of September this year, China Eastern Airlines is expected to operate four China-Italy routes: Shanghai-Rome, Wenzhou-Rome, Shanghai-Venice, and Xi'an-Milan.
