The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Xi'an Sub-Council recently invited over 60 representatives from government agencies, chambers of commerce, and businesses from 14 Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) members to visit Xi'an. The delegation toured key sites, including the Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, the China-Europe Railway Express Assembly Center at Xi'an Chanba International Port, Xi'an Aiju Grain and Oil Industrial Group, Xi'an International University, and the Tang West Market Cultural Industry Investment Group.
The event intended to showcase Xi'an's robust economic and social development, highlight its distinct industrial strengths, and promote deeper collaboration between Xi'an and BRI member countries.
In the exhibition hall of Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of the urban evolution and development history of the zone from 1993 to the present, also acquiring detailed insights into the current status of advantageous industries in the regional construction plan.
At Xi'an International University, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with the university on cultural education, international exchange, and talent development.
After visiting for two days, while experiencing the charm of the integration between Xi'an's ancient culture and modernization, the delegation gained a deeper understanding of the overall development status of Xi'an.
Many delegates intended to organize additional exchanges, explore business opportunities, and pursue practical partnerships to benefit the economic and social development of both Xi'an and BRI member countries.
