On September 20, the 8th Silk Road International Expo and China’s East-West Cooperation and Investment Trade Fair made a dazzling debut during this golden autumn.

The expo is located at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center, featuring five exhibition areas: International Exchange Exhibition, Interprovincial Cooperation Exhibition, Transportation and Logistics Exhibition, Advanced Manufacturing Exhibition, and Modern Energy Exhibition. The total exhibition area is 72,000 square meters, with a variety of engaging activities such as cultural exchanges, interactive experiences, and food tasting and shopping.

International Exchange

The International Exchange Exhibition, which covers a total area of 16,000 square meters, is set up at Pavilion No. 1. It showcases the overall image, resource advantages, and characteristic industries of countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, the five Central Asian countries, and sister cities of Shaanxi Province.

Representatives from 73 international business chambers across 40 countries and regions on five continents are exhibiting here. At this "one-stop" setting, visitors can not only experience different cultures and taste international cuisine but also purchase unique souvenirs and learn about innovative achievements from various regions.

Transportation and Logistics

The Transportation and Logistics Exhibition, which covers a total area of 16,000 square meters, is set up at Pavilion No. 2. It mainly exhibits railways, highways, and multimodal transport of China-Europe Railway Express, as well as seaports, land ports, river ports, and container multimodal transport.

Advanced Manufacturing

Advanced Manufacturing is set up at Pavilion No. 4 and 6, covering a total area of 20,000 square meters. It focuses on key industrial chains in the manufacturing sector and showcases leading enterprises, supply chain enterprises, and technological products in key areas such as new energy vehicles and photovoltaics.

In this area, visitors can "test drive" and experience new energy vehicles, gaining a comprehensive understanding of smart IoT automotive electronics and new energy vehicle manufacturing technologies and various technological innovations.The 2024 Shaanxi Cuisine Cultural Exchange Event is one of the supporting activities of this year's expo and runs throughout the entire expo.

More than 150 catering enterprises, including time-honored brands, famous delicacies, and specialty dishes from 12 cities (districts) in Shaanxi showcased the culture of Shaanxi cuisine through on-site cooking and performances by inheritors of intangible cultural heritage.Moreover, representatives of ten countries' signature cuisines were invited to participate in the international food exhibition, where they prepared and showcased various dishes on-site. The convergence of distinctive foods from different countries allows people to experience the rich diversity of the world.

This year's expo showcases stunning cutting-edge technology and serves as a grand cultural exchange platform. It resembles a vibrant ribbon that tightly connects the world.
