Livestream e-commerce base project of Alibaba started in Shaanxi

Recently, the Alibaba Taobao Livestreaming E-commerce Industry Base project, with a total investment of 100 million yuan, successfully launched in Fengdong New City of Xixian New Area.

The Alibaba Taobao Livestreaming E-commerce Industry Base project will build core sections such as Alibaba International Livestreaming Center, Cross-border E-commerce Center and Talent Training Center, and plans to use an office area of about 6,500 square meters to carry out livestreaming sales, cross-border trade and international settlement and other related businesses for the international market.

Meanwhile, the base will leverage its platform resources to attract e-commerce enterprises from Greece, Germany, Luxembourg, and other countries to establish featured product pavilions. It will also host summit events for domestic and cross-border e-commerce businesses, attracting high-quality domestic and foreign enterprises to land in Xixian New Area.

Upon completion, the base is expected to achieve an annual import and export trade volume of 50 million US dollars, cumulative revenue of 2.5 billion yuan over five years, and attract over 800 employees.

Alibaba is one of the largest e-commerce groups in the world, owning several international e-commerce brands such as Taobao, Alibaba International Station, AliExpress, and Lazada. Its business covers over 200 countries and regions globally, serving 2 billion consumers worldwide, with a total merchandise transaction volume exceeding $4.8 trillion in 2023.

Relying on Alibaba Group's major e-commerce platforms, the base will introduce domestic and foreign trade and livestreaming e-commerce enterprises, focusing on building a livestreaming e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce industry convergence that radiates to northwest China and countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
