On December 10, the International Volleyball Federation officially announced the schedule and host cities for the 2025 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) for both men's and women's tournaments. The first stage of the men's tournament is scheduled from June 11 to June 15, 2025, at the Xi'an Qujiang Sports Center.
The FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) is an international volleyball competition organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and Volleyball World(). Launched in 2018, the VNL is held annually in a league format. This competition highlights the talents of national men's and women's volleyball teams from around the globe, further enhancing the global influence of the sport.
The 2025 World Men's Volleyball League is scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 20, 2025. The group stage tournaments will be held in nine cities around the world, including Quebec in Canada, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Burgas in Bulgaria, Chicago in the USA, and Xi'an in China. The final tournament will occur from July 30 to August 3, 2025.
Xi'an will host the first leg of the group stage, where the Chinese men's volleyball team will compete on home soil against Poland, Turkey, the Netherlands, Serbia, and Japan. After this initial leg, the Chinese team will also play matches in Chicago, USA, and Gdańsk, Poland.In 2023, the Paris Olympics men's volleyball qualifying tournament was held in Xi'an, bringing the spotlight of global volleyball fans to this historical city.

In a year, Xi'an will once again host a world-class volleyball event. With its state-of-the-art venue, excellent event organization skills, and extensive experience in hosting, this event is expected to be even more spectacular right at Xi'an's doorstep.
