On January 10th, a China-Europe Freight Train carrying 1,300 tons of finished flour from Kazakhstan arrived at the Xi'an Aiju Oil and Grain Industry Park within the Xi'an International Port Station. This event marks the successful arrival of the first "door-to-door" China-Europe Freight Train delivering Spring Festival goods to Xi'an.

Shaanxi enterprises are increasingly using the China-Europe Freight Train (Xi'an) to export goods to Central Asia, while resources like food and oil from Central Asia are being brought into the domestic market, leading to more frequent economic and trade exchanges.

Xi'an Aiju Group, a grain and oil enterprise in Shaanxi, has benefited from the Belt and Road Initiative by establishing a processing base in North Kazakhstan. They utilize the Xi'an International Port Station to transport high-quality wheat and oil from Kazakhstan to China for domestic processing and sales.

In 2024, Xi'an Aiju Group set up a flour processing factory in North Kazakhstan, producing flour, noodles, and other products for the domestic market. By the end of the year, the company imported 200,000 tons of wheat, flour, and edible oil from Kazakhstan, making it the only Chinese company manufacturing grain products locally and exporting them back to China.

On the same day, the second "Belt and Road" China-Europe Freight Train Spring Festival Shopping Fair was also launched at the Experience Hall of Xi'an Aiju Group, which is less than 500 meters away from the China-Europe Freight Train rail.

This year's shopping fair features products from Kazakhstan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Georgia, and over 50 Xi'an enterprises, showcasing more than 1,000 categories. It aims to attract 200,000 visitors and generate around 20 million yuan in sales, continuing until January 26th.

The China-Europe Freight Train (Xi'an) has significantly expanded in recent years, becoming a popular option for importing foreign goods to China. By 2024, it had operated over 4,900 trains, leading the country in key metrics like cargo volume and container rates. Xi'an International Port Station now features 18 international railway trunk lines, ensuring comprehensive coverage of major cargo sources in Eurasia and creating a low-cost, high-efficiency international trade corridor.
