On the evening of January 22nd, the 2025 Yisi Chinese New Year "Chang'an Lantern Fair" Lighting Ceremony, filled with interest, festive spirit, and cultural essence, was held at Daming Palace National Heritage Park.

As the ceremony started, lanterns at Daming Palace National Heritage Park, Xi'an City Wall, and Tang Paradise were lit accordingly, marking the official start of the "Chang'an Lantern Fair". The 54-day event will run from January 22 to March 16.

At the same time, Cairo, Rome, and Athens also lit up their lanterns, with the four great ancient capitals of the world using lights as a medium to connect and exchange.

Around 8 p.m., as the lighting ceremony began, a reenactment performance filled the lighting scene with a strong sense of ceremony. Guided by the Ceremonial Court Gentleman, the guests slowly entered the hall, as if the grand ceremony in the ancient times was recreated.

The VR interactive display of "The Celestial Mansions of the Great Tang" presents a captivating scene, and the collision of culture and technology leaves people in awe.

As the host's "lighting" call rang out, various lanterns lit up the ancient city's night.

As the lanterns in Xi'an were lit up, the other three ancient capitals also illuminated their lanterns simultaneously. Dr. Evgenios Kalpyris, Ambassador of the Republic of Greece to the People's Republic of China, sent the blessings for 2025 via a video. The staff of the Chinese embassies in Egypt, Italy, and Greece, as well as overseas netizens, also conveyed their best wishes to the "Chang'an Lantern Fair" through video. Representatives from the United States, Singapore, and Malaysia shared their personal stories related to the Chang'an Lantern Fair.

This lantern fair saw the collaboration of four ancient capitals, which not only enriched the essence of Chang'an Lantern Fair, but also built a new bridge of mutual understanding between China and the world.
