At the beginning of the public class titled "The Beauty of Chinese Characters", "Kua Fu" posed a question to the students, "Do you know what the four oldest writing systems in the world are?" After the students responded with a variety of answers, "Kua Fu" clarified, "Let me tell you the answer. The four oldest writing systems in the world are Sumerian, Egyptian, Mayan, and Chinese."
According to Chinese teacher Jiang Tong, AI not only transforms the way students learn Chinese characters but also prompts a deeper reflection on the future of education. She states, "Technology is more than a tool, it represents a new dimension that enhances our cultural understanding."
In this special history class, students explored a variety of topics, including idioms related to the "ding" tripod and the significance of the colors found in bronze artifacts. They learned about the value of the He Zun at the Baoji Bronze Museum and discovered the standout exhibits at the Shaanxi History Museum. Through "Kua Fu", students gained a wealth of knowledge about cultural relics and drew inspiration from the wisdom of ancient civilizations.
Students mimicked "Kua Fu", shaking hands and hugging it to experience its unique charm up close. "Interacting with the robot not only made the class very interesting, but also helped us strengthen our understanding and memory of the key concepts," said student Cao Wangye.
Jin Haoze, the assistant principal and director of the High School Affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University, emphasized that the key competencies for future talent include critical thinking and innovation, collaboration with computers, digital literacy, interdisciplinary integration, as well as emotional intelligence and communication skills.
