On March 25, the Information Office of Shaanxi Provincial Government held a press conference to brief the media on the preparations for the 2025 Qingming Festival Memorial Ceremony for the Yellow Emperor.

The 2025 Qingming Festival Memorial Ceremony for the Yellow Emperor, jointly hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Government, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, will be held at 9:50 AM on April 4 (Qingming Festival) at the Qiaoshan Sacrificial Square in Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province.

The theme of this year’s memorial ceremony is “forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and forging ahead toward Chinese-style modernization”. There are altogether nine activities on the agenda: i) standing solemnly for the drum beats and bell rings; ii) singing Ode to the Yellow Emperor; iii) presenting flower baskets; iv) delivering the memorial address; v) three deep bows to the statue of the Yellow Emperor; vi) memorial music and dance performance; vii) dragon soaring to the sky; viii) visiting the Xuanyuan Hall and the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor; and ix) planting Qiaoshan cypresses.
