The 2025 Xi'an Silk Road International Tourism Expo opened at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center. Xi'an Pavilion, blending traditional and modern design concepts, created immersive cultural experiences and creative interactive scenes, emerging as the "star attraction" of the expo and winning praise from domestic and international guests and visitors alike.
The Intangible Cultural Heritage Area, themed "Craftsmanship for Generations," showcased featured craftwork such as Chang'an imperial embroidered lanterns, egg carving, seal casting and engraving techniques, and stele rubbings.
The Culinary Area, featuring the culture of millennium-old commercial routes, collectively showcasing tea, wine, drinks and banquets.
The Cultural Creative Products Area served as a bridge between tradition and modern trends. It featured "Qin Hanhan," a plush toy inspired by "Qizai," a famous giant panda from the Qinling region. Additionally, it showcased a popular merchandise series and trendy designer toys like the "THISARMY Terracotta Army," which blend ancient heritage with contemporary pop culture.
Xi'an Pavilion showcased more than 30 scenic spots and top cultural performances, including The Song of Everlasting Sorrow, OMNI Chang'An, The Great Qin, An Army Reborn, Ancient Romance of Xi'an, and Camel Bell Legend. Various travel agencies were attracted to explore collaborations, generating excitement in the market and enhancing the potential for cultural tourism products.
The Hanfu Experience Area offered visitors a one-stop service for trying on Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) and professional styling, letting them step into ancient elegance.
Professional actors, invited as "cultural ambassadors," interacted closely with visitors at the Xi'an Pavilion, bridging history and the present through live performances.
During the expo, the Xi'an Pavilion showcased culture as a medium and used consumption as a bridge, transforming high-quality intellectual properties into market successes and linking tourism treasures with modern commerce. Xi'an, a city where history blends with contemporary vibrancy, continues to inject dynamic energy into the Silk Road Economic Belt.
