On September 21, the "Read the World Through Pages and Miles: From Chang'an to the World" salon unfolded in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. The event united young media leaders, experts, scholars, and poets from China, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and beyond, alongside teacher and student representatives from Xi'an International Studies University. Together, they celebrated Silk Road camaraderie and fostered cross-cultural dialogue.

During the event, Xi'an International Studies University and Contemporary World Press signed a university-enterprise cooperation agreement. The new book Anthology of Chinese-Language Poetry in the American Diaspora was launched, and a book sharing session was held.
During the keynote session, Huang Dayuan, Director of the Central Asia and Caspian Sea Research Center at Xi'an International Studies University, spoke on the historical and geographical dynamics of multicultural convergence along the Silk Road. Yuan Xiaojun, General Manager of Xi'an International Inland Port Group, discussed the synergy of infrastructure, trade, and cultural exchange based on practical scenarios.

Chinese and international youth shared experiences and exchanged views
In the sharing session, four youth representatives from Xi'an International Studies University shared their experiences in cultural preservation and international exchange, highlighting their generation's shared aspiration for peace and cooperation.
The group discussion focused on "From Chang'an to the 'Belt and Road': Changes and Continuities in China-Foreign Cultural Exchange," highlighting media cooperation, policy coordination, and cross-cultural media talent development. It also proposed a "New Silk Road Information Corridor" and emphasized youth exchange programs.
This salon's diverse exchanges deepened the appreciation of the Silk Road spirit among global youth, expanded international cooperation, and invigorated cross-cultural learning efforts. Participants pledged to share Xi'an's stories and the Silk Road ethos worldwide, ensuring the enduring legacy of peace and development.
