Recently, China Convention/Exhibition/Event Society (CCEES) hosted the release of the "2024 China Urban Convention and Exhibition Industry Competitiveness Index Report" in Chengdu, unveiling the list of “2024 China's Most Competitive Convention and Exhibition Cities.”

Xi'an's convention and exhibition industry ranks 13th nationally and 6th among sub-provincial cities—up 2 places from last year—based on a comprehensive evaluation of 216 cities across 5 dimensions, 15 secondary indicators, and 44 tertiary indicators. It has been recognized as one of “China's most competitive exhibition cities” for two consecutive years.
Between January and October this year, Xi'an hosted 476 exhibitions, covering 2.1815 million square meters, showcasing a robust and growing convention industry. Among the key international and national events were the 9th Silk Road International Expo, the 10th World Oil and Gas Equipment Expo, the 2025 FISITA Intelligent Safety Conference, China-CELAC Internet Development and Cooperation Forum, and Asian Foundry Congress. These exhibitions spanned vital sectors like energy equipment, AI, aerospace, and cultural tourism, with notable enhancements in scale and quality.
