On December 26, Train C9309 departed from Yan'an Station, marking the official launch of the Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway. This milestone also pushed China's high-speed railway network beyond 50,000 kilometers, establishing it as the world's largest and most advanced.

The 299-kilometer Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway, designed for speeds up to 350 km/h, links Xi'an with Yan'an via Weinan and Tongchuan. It reduces travel time between Xi'an and Yan'an to just 68 minutes. 

During its initial phase, the Xi'an-Yan'an high-speed railway offers up to 38 daily bullet trains, serving 10 stations including Gaoling, Fuping South, and Yan'an. Travel times to Fuping South, Tongchuan, and Yan'an are 19, 27, and 68 minutes, respectively, mostly cutting 56, 102, and 62 minutes off the current ordinary train journeys.

The Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway, a key segment of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" network, links the Xi'an hub in the south with the future Yan'an-Yulin High-Speed Railway in the north. 

Upon the Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway's launch, Xi'an North and Yan'an Stations introduced bilingual services to cater to diverse passenger needs.

Before the high-speed railway's launch, China Railway Xi'an Bureau introduced bilingual services at Xi'an North and Yan'an Stations. It prepared key information on Yan'an's historical red tourist attractions and study tour routes, and organized staff to enhance the bilingual content.

The service desks received upgrades, including enhanced facilities and seven new multilingual translators. Xi'an North Station now offers sign language services for hard-of-hearing travelers, ensuring seamless communication. These enhancements, from barrier-free communication to promoting red culture, address diverse passenger needs along the Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway. 

Upon its launch, the Xi'an-Yan'an High-Speed Railway will operate 38 daily trains at 30-minute intervals. Yan'an Station expands from 3 platforms and 9 lines to 4 platforms and 10 lines, significantly boosting its capacity. This new line will not only facilitate travel for residents but also provide strong momentum for Yan'an's cultural and tourism development.
