At the Tang Paradise venue, the Year of the Horse theme takes center stage, with the "Galloping Horses" lantern set capturing the spirit of the Chinese zodiac. The festival integrates Tang poetry and intangible cultural heritage into its displays. It further enlivens visitors' experience with Tang-style performances, armor parades, interactive theater, and themed markets. The Tang Paradise Lantern Festival will be open to visitors until April 6.
At the Xi'an City Wall lantern festival, the ancient ramparts resemble a glittering dragon winding through the night sky. Along the southern section, dozens of grand lantern sets bloom in succession, creating a dazzling spectacle of light and shadow. With all 17 gates open, visitors can ascend the wall, where the millennia-old stones underfoot are illuminated by the radiant display, offering a breathtaking panorama of "lanterns glowing within the city, people wandering as if in a painting.
The Xi'an City Wall lantern festival will last for 81 days, spanning the New Year's Day, the Spring Festival, and the Lantern (Yuanxiao) Festival. Through the art of light and shadow, it vividly showcases Xi'an's historical heritage and contemporary vitality.
