In the mid-20th century, this was the bustling Xi'an Velveteen Factory, filled with the roar of machinery. After a transformation at the turn of the century, the old factory buildings were reborn as a comprehensive market at the Jianguo Gate, now serving 100,000 local residents.

Today, the former vegetable market has been reborn as Xi'an Old Market, an urban cultural and creative block. Here, you can buy fresh vegetables, sip coffee, and hunt for unique trinkets—all within an irreplaceable blend of old and new that captivates the young.

Taiyangmiao Gate Street

Melodies in the Shade of Parasol Trees

Nestled near Wumu Gate of the Xi'an City Wall, Taiyangmiao Gate Street is a short lane connecting Sifu Street in the west to South Guangji Street in the north.Strolling along the street, the branches and leaves of the Chinese Parasol intertwine, forming a green canopy over the lane.

The most iconic feature here is the occasional "Balcony Concerts" at Take Five, where diverse musical styles blend and collide. People gather in small groups, listening, chatting, and humming along—fully embodying the ancient capital's modern rhythm and inclusive spirit.

Time Culture Park is transformed from an old state-owned watch and clock machinery factory.The renovation preserved the factory's industrial character.
