Xi'an Metro's Spring Festival activities overflow with festive cheer, showcasing photo walls, "Fu" writing, and Spring Festival couplets to double your journey's joy.

During the Spring Festival, Xi'an Metro will feature themed background walls at multiple stations such as Xi'an North Railway Station, Changle Park, Xi'an Railway Station, Fangzhicheng, Datang Ever Bright City, and TV Tower, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Throughout the Spring Festival, Xi'an Metro will boost the festive ambiance across all stations and select trains, featuring paper-cuttings, wish ornaments, Chinese knots, and lanterns to create a festive journey.

2026 Spring Festival Special One-Day Ticket

Starting February 10, Xi'an Metro will release 10,000 festive one-day tickets with the same rules and price as regular one-day ticket, available while supplies last.

On February 10, Xi'an Metro will host Spring Festival couplet and "Fu" character writing and rubbing at 11 stations, including Changle Park, Youth Center, Xiaozhai, Bell Tower, and others. Passengers will receive free calligraphy works, and are encouraged to write or create their own rubbings.

Adjusted operating hours of Xi'an Metro during Spring Festival period

To ensure smooth metro travel during the Spring Festival, Xi'an Metro will extend operating hours and increase transport capacity, based on the analysis of 2026 passenger flow trends.

Entire Spring Festival period (Feb 2-Mar 13):

Line 2: Last trains depart from Changninggong and Caotan at 23:55; the last train from Xi'an North Railway Station to the city depart at 00:00 the next day.

Line 4: Last trains depart from Xi'an North Railway Station and Hangtianxincheng at 23:30.

Line 14: Last train depart from Heshao at 23:00; the last train from Airport West depart at 22:50.

Core period during Spring Festival (Feb 17-23):

Line 3: Last trains depart from Yuhuazhai at 23:33 and from Bonded Area at 23:04.

Increased peak hour capacity on Line 2 (9%) and Line 4 (25%); night capacity up by 25% and 10% respectively. Extended peak service on lines to major attractions until 22:30.

Select periods (Feb 2-15, Feb 24-Mar 13):

Enhanced night service with a 27% capacity boost on Line 2 and 16% on Line 4.
