Recently, the Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway (Xi-Shi High-speed Railway) has made new progress, with the decoration of its four new stations—Lantian, Shangluo West, Shanyang and Manchuanguan—fully completed. Currently, the acceptance procedures are advancing systematically, while efforts to accelerate the construction of the station square are underway.
An important part of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network, the Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway runs through Xi'an, Shangluo (Shaanxi Province) and Shiyan (Hubei Province), with a total length of 255.7 km, a designed speed of 350 km/h, and 7 stations along the line: Xi'an East, Lantian, Shangluo West, Shanyang, Manchuanguan, Yunxi and Shiyan East.
Lantian Station

Located in Lantian County (Xi'an, Shaanxi), Lantian Station adopts the sloping roof and steady base of Sui-Tang ancient architecture, embodying the "Sui-Tang style".
Shangluo West Station

Shangluo West Station (Shangluo, Shaanxi) has an undulating roof that echoes the Qinling Mountains' unique landform and embodies the integration of northern and southern cultures.
Shanyang Station

Shanyang Station (Shangluo, Shaanxi) integrates local natural and regional features into a concise architectural form, creating a culturally and artistically distinctive high-speed rail station.
Manchuanguan Station

The roof of Manchuanguan Station (Shangluo, Shaanxi) is inspired by the layered rooftops of the ancient town, reflecting the grandeur of traditional architecture.
After the Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway is put into operation, the travel time between Xi'an and Wuhan will be shortened from the current 5 hours to about 2.5 hours.

Meanwhile, the nameplate of Ankang West Station (Xi'an-Ankang section of the Xi'an-Chongqing High-speed Railway) has been officially installed. The station covers 19,987.3 square meters, with 95% of construction finished.

Design rendering of Ankang West Station
The Xi'an-Ankang section of the Xi'an-Chongqing High-speed Railway forms a key part of the Baotou (Yinchuan)–Haikou and Beijing–Kunming corridors in China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. Running south from Xi'an East Station, it crosses the Chanhe River and Qinling Mountains, passes through Zhashui, Zhen'an and Xunyang, and terminates at Ankang West Station.
Upon completion, the Xi'an-Ankang section will cut the travel time between Xi'an and Ankang from roughly 3 hours to under 1 hour. It will greatly shorten the distance between the Guanzhong Plain City Cluster and the Qinba Mountain Area in southern Shaanxi, upgrade transport services, and boost economic and social development along the route.
