Xi'an East Railway Station, a major transport hub in Northwest China, was officially put into operation on June 30.

Its opening falls on the first summer travel rush. The station links four high-speed rail corridors (to Yan'an, Shiyan, Ankang, and Chongqing), serving 45 cities nationwide—from Beijing and Shanghai to Kunming and Xiamen—along with major stops such as Chengdu West, Shenyang North, Hankou, Hangzhou, and Jiamusi, as well as local hubs Yan'an, Hanzhong, Ankang, and Baoji.

Xi'an East Railway Station

Adopting an innovative three-floor vertical layout with three entrances, the station consists of an arrival floor, a platform floor and an elevated waiting floor.At the waiting hall's central service counter, four large screens display real-time train info, remaining tickets, transfers, lost & found, and emergency alerts, helping passengers quickly find assistance.On June 29, the China Railway 12306 App released high-speed train tickets from Xi'an East Railway Station to Wuhan for travel dates between June 30 and July 13. Passengers may check and buy tickets via the official 12306 website or mobile app.

According to the ticketing system, the minimum second-class fare from Xi'an East to Shiyan East stands at 154 yuan, while the cheapest second-class ticket from Xi'an to Wuhan costs 407 yuan.Per the 12306 App, Train G412 is the fastest service, taking 2 hours and 41 minutes. It departs Xi'an East Railway Station at 07:54 and arrives at Hankou Station in Wuhan at 10:35.

The Xi'an–Shiyan line primarily uses the CR400BF-Z, a domestically developed 350 km/h smart Electric Multiple Unit with full independent intellectual property. The 211.3‑meter train has a maximum operating speed of 350 km/h.Its upgraded interior suits both short commutes and long-haul trips between Xi'an–Shiyan and Xi'an–Wuhan.
