Since construction officially kicked off in November 2023, progress on Taikoo Li Xi'an, this landmark commercial development, has drawn wide attention. On September 21, structural topping-out was completed for its first-phase zone, marking a major construction milestone for the landmark rooted in this historic cultural city.

As construction moves forward steadily, Taikoo Li Xi'an is expected to finish overall structural topping-out in early 2027, with phased completion, handover and opening starting next year.

Taikoo Li Xi'an spans over 260,000 square meters. Departing from traditional enclosed malls, it features the brand's signature low-density open blocks, integrating commercial spaces with the urban landscape for an immersive experience.

It will house nearly 500 diverse retail brands and serviced apartments. Combining shopping, leisure, hospitality and cultural experiences, the project will build Xi'an's unique immersive mixed-use destination.

Its appeal stems from unique Tang-dynasty aesthetics and authentic local charm. With respect to the historic context, the design draws on Tang architectural traditions. Precision-calibrated building heights and sightlines frame the UNESCO-listed Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Jianfu Temple, balancing Xi'an's profound heritage with contemporary commerce.

Notably, Taikoo Li Xi'an has secured multiple top pre-certifications for green buildings: LEED Platinum for Design & Construction, WELL Platinum for healthy buildings, and SITES Platinum pre-certification for landscapes. It has also been selected as a demonstration project for advanced low-carbon technologies by the National Development and Reform Commission.
