Street stands have resumed business 

and been encouraged to revive 

the economy in different parts of China.

The street sale has a long history. In the past decades, due to the bad impact of the street sale on the city appearance, environment and health, it has not been legalized in the city. Peddlers along the street and city managers conflict each other usually.

But this kind of marginal economy is not useless. It has the unique advantages of low cost and fast investment, which alleviated the employment pressure to a certain extent during the financial crisis. It can also meet the living needs of ordinary people and activate urban-rural exchanges.

In 2020, the street sale economy has spread all over the country, and local governments have delivered the voice of supporting the development of "street sale economy", which naturally includes the historical city Xi'an. In response, Xi'an is proposed to set up 100 vegetable markets, 100 night food market, and 100 temporary food stalls.                    

In the summer, Xi'an becomes more and more lively because of various vendors. Some sell snacks, some sell clothes, some sell daily necessities or all kinds of toys... All kinds of goods are available, and it seems to be a good choice to hang out in the summer night.

Qujiang New Area, as the pioneer of Xi'an's local street sale economy, began to accept the sale application on May 30, and the urban management department has begun to prepare accordingly. The residents and merchants who intend to set up the sale are encouraged to sign up to the community actively without affecting the pedestrian passageway, sanitary qualification, regular products and ensuring safety.

Must operate in "Green Area"                    

There are 5 temporary stalls in Huazhuzhongcheng community, one of which is located on the sidewalk outside the shops of Zhongtie Community on Yuejiazhai 1st road. Green mats have been laid on the sidewalk in the morning of June 1. In the future, stall merchants will operate within the green range, wear uniform vest and chest cards, and no other fees will be charged except cleaning fees.

Not allowed cook food on site                 

For safety issues, only simple meals and drinks can be sold on site, and bean products can be attached, but fire cooking is not allowed. It must be done in other places, and the slaughter of live is prohibited.

Business hour: 18:00-22:00      

At present, 100 stalls have been temporarily approved by Huazhuzhongcheng community, and nearly 50 applications have been received by the morning of June 1. The operation time is from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., tentatively until the end of the epidemic.

China is a developing country with a large population. Our per capita annual income is 30, 000 yuan, but 600 million people earn only 1000 yuan a month. Overall, there are still a large number of residents out of a population of 1.4 billion who still need to improve their incomes.                    

On May 29, 2020, Xi'an ranked fifth in the "2020 Urban Business charm list" released by the first Financial and Economic New first-tier City Research Institute. Compared with 2019, it rises one place on "business resource aggregation" and "future potentiality".                     

With the rapid development, we should pay more attention to the people. They may be hard-working workers in the daytime, who increase a little income by going out at night, the old people who rely on the platform to make a living, or the young people who just embark on the entrepreneurship.

A civilized city must be an inclusive city, and the warmth brought by inclusion will enable everyone having a good life in the city through their own hard work.                       

Fine shopping mall and street sales, two different business models, will play the value to bring us a better life.
