The torch for the 14th National Games is being relayed in Shaanxi Province for 28 days from August 16 to September 12, covering 14 stops in 13 local cities and areas. And the torch will be sent into the stadium Xi'an Olympic Sports Center to light up the torch tower on September 15, the very day of the opening ceremony.

           

The torch relay is not a competition, but an important event to celebrate the opening of the national games. The torch relay for this year's14th National Games  officially started on August 16 in Xi'an.  

               

The 5.3-kilometer relay started at Yongning Gate (South Gate) Square in the City Wall of Xi'an and finished at Danfeng Gate in Daming Palace National Heritage Park, passing through the South Street, the North Street, East Ziqiang Road, and other signature buildings which fully show the profound history and culture of the ancient city.  

Xi'an E-Sport was launched

Xi'an E-Sport, a smart platform for national fitness and sports released by Xi'an Sports Bureau, integrates various functions such as event services, venue reservation,physical  fitness monitoring, sports information, scientific guidance and personalized services, etc. It will play an active role in building a smart sport city of "Internet+Sports" and making national fitness easier. The launch of the platform also marks that Xi'an  has entered the "cloud" era of sports.

               

Whether it is at the parks, public squares or at the neighborhood, villages, this wind of "National Fitness" is totally in trend now. Nowadays, fitness has become a new symbol of this ancient capital, bringing endless energy and vitality to the city.

The trend of "National Fitness" in Xi'an     

In the northern part of Xingqing Palace Park, a large number of brand-new sports and fitness facilities are located here, and the new badminton and table tennis courts are already in full use by surrounding residents. A strong fitness atmosphere has been thus developed, also boosting the establishment many amateur sports groups. Whether it is table tennis, badminton, or all kinds of folk dances, people can find the right group to join.

          

The remodeled Xingqing Palace Park is not only equipped with a broad road surface, but also with a 2600-meter green fitness trail. As one of the key construction projects in Xi'an City resonating with the 14th Olympic Games, the upgraded Xingqing Palace Park not only embodies the humanistic care, but also becomes the model site incorporating this "sport+culture+tourism" concept.

       

Not far from the fitness facilities, the newly built play zone for children attracts many parents, and the climbing area is truly a "magnet for children".
