On August 22, in the beautiful Yan'an, the fourth stop of the torch relay, a total of 67 torchbearers participated in the torch relay, running 3.85 kilometers in the whole process.
Yan'an, known as Yanzhou in ancient times, is an significant cradle for the Chinese nation as the Yellow Emperor, the founder of the Chinese nation, once lived within the area. The city is also the home to the site of the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, the first mausoleum in the world and the tomb of the Yellow Emperor; it is also a holy revolutionary site, a sacred site of the Chinese Revolution, and is among the first national historic and cultural cities announced by the State Council.

Next came outstanding citizens from all walks of life in Yan'an, working together to pass the torch form one stop to another.
The last torch bearer, Lulu Feng, lit the flame basin with the torch, and then the flame guards put the flame into the kindling lamp, bringing the torch relay in downtown Yan'an to a successful conclusion!
The route of the torch relay runs through downtown Yan'an, from the Yan'an Revolutionary Base to the Baota Square, witnessing the revolutionary glory of Yan'an all the way.
The Yan'an Revolutionary Base
Yan'an Revolutionary Base, located in the northwest of Baota District and on the east bank of the Yan River, is among the earliest revolutionary memorial halls established after the founding of the PRC. It is also a vivid teaching material of the Party Central Committee in Yan'an and a glorious site of China in the 20th century.
The memorial hall, together with many site exhibitions, vividly recreates the glorious years when the Party Central Committee and the old generation of revolutionaries led the Chinese revolution in Yan'an.
Baota Mountain
Built in the Tang Dynasty, Baota Mountain, known as Fenglin Mountain in ancient times and Jialing Mountain after the Song Dynasty, is located in the center of Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, with an altitude of 1,135.5 meters.
Baota Mountain is considered as an significant symbol and emblem of Yan'an, the former revolutionary site of China.
